File Transfers Over VPN

What is the best approach to performing file transfers/copies from site-to-site over a VPN.

Bare transfers/copies proceed slowly over the vpn.

Should I set up a PC at each site/location as an

FTP server ? And if so, any good FTP shareware/free

ware/cheap software out there ?

And if FTP is not the appropriate approach, what would be ?

Hi

u can try out 3Com FTP server and normal cute ftp or any other client.

Better way to manage the B/W is schedule up the downloads and upload durin off peak periods after working hrs which can help u to utilise u r b/w effectively.

if u r running Linux based boxes then u can open FTP service in tht box itself.

But before doing all these stufs do take necessary proactive security measures/steps so that u can prevent crackers geting into ur boxes.
