FX-OS and the ASA or FTD images are stored on the Supervisor.

The SSD is used for local event storage. In the future, the second SSD slot will be enabled for Malware file storage (used for post facto analysis).

Hi Marvin,

Thanks for reply.

Referece the page:

https://communities.cisco.com/community/technology/security/ngfw-firewalls/blog/2016/03/15/cisco-firepower-4100-and-9300-series-specifications

Taking Firepower 4110 for example, my understanding are below:

Supervisor
8x 10GE SFP+ ports
Management processor
Management memory: 8GB DDR3
Management SSD: Running FXOS and Store FXOS image , ASA and FTD CSP.

Security Module
12 physical cores (24 logical cores) Single 12 core Xeon E5-2658v3 2.2GHz (2.9GHz turbo)
64GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM
Slot 1 200GB SSD storage: Running ASA or  FTD application , and store events.
(another SSD bay optional for AMP)

Please correct me , if I am wrong.

Mike,

To the best of my knowledge, that's correct.
