FirePOWER ASDM GUI ASA5515-X

I'm looking for information on enableing FirePOWER on a new ASA5515X. I'm struggling to find details on configuring this via the ASDM instead of using FireSIGHT.

Once the software module is enabled and licensed I assume the configuration tabs appear in the ASDM? This is a small site with a single firewall so installing a seperate appliance to manage it seems overkill.

What i'm after is some decent pointers and documentation on the subject.

For this ASA you need FirePOWER 6 to manage it through ASDM. This version was just published last week as 6.0.0 and I can't tell yet on the stability of it.

What has to be done (untested, I'll update my Lab-ASA in the next days):

1. Upgrade the ASA to at least 9.4(2) or 9.5(1.5) and corresponding ASDM
2. Download the v6 boot- and system-image
3. Install Boot-Image
4. Install System-Image
5. Configure FirePOWER through ASDM
