Hi folks,
I want to update a host profile that is currently unknown to FMC. I'm yet to find out what flavour but it is not Ubuntu.
The only option to for manual entry for linux is Ubuntu.
Is it recommended to select this option? It would result in ignoring all microsoft and apple vulnerabilities so I thought it would be a good result. I was expecting a default global linux option that could at least tell FMC to ignore Apple/Microsoft, ie slightly better than unknown.

I'm not sure what menu you're in but when I go to edit host attributes I am not restricted to Ubuntu.
This on FMC 6.2.3:

Thanks, that was helpful to apply a custom option. Be good if Firepower supplied a generic option as a selectable choice. It would basically negate microsoft/apple vulnerabilities but not be more specific than that. I'm thinking that just a custom Linux option with just OS vendor Linux, and OS product Linux achieves this.
