Firewall Migration

We have an ASA 5510 which we are looking to take out of action, and the idea is to get an ASA 5540 to replace it.. can we simply migrate the config across to the new firewall and is there anything special we need to do . . it will be great if there are links to knowledge base or docs somewhere to help ?

Hi,

All ASAs run the same OS.

You can basically migrate the same configuration from the 5510 to the 5540.

Might be some differences in hardware (for example Giga interfaces instead of FastEthernet, but the rest is the same).
