FMC Bug CSCvn05797

InTheJuniverse
Level 1
Level 1

Hi

I was reading https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvn05797 and it is a little confusion whether our version is impacted. As you can see in the screen capture, our software version is 6.2.3.5 and and OS version is 6.2.3,

1) Which of the two (OS version / Software version) is referred in the "Known affected releases"???

2) "Known affected releases are  6.0.0, 6.1.0, 6.2.0, 6.2.3, 6.2.3.6, 6.3.0, 6.4.0

Is our version effected? My confusion arose as a result of listings "6.2.3 and 6.2.3.6"

3) If it is affected, where is the patch? I navigate to https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286313403/type/286271056/release/6.3.0 and see no 'patch'  or 'update' as such which was released after this bug?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

1) Which of the two (OS version / Software version) is referred in the "Known affected releases"???

you have to check OS version

 2) "Known affected releases are  6.0.0, 6.1.0, 6.2.0, 6.2.3, 6.2.3.6, 6.3.0, 6.4.0

your version is not affected according to release. there is 2 versions for 6.2.3 and 6.2.3.5

3) If it is affected, where is the patch? I navigate to https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286313403/type/286271056/release/6.3.0 and see no 'patch'  or 'update' as such which was released after this bug?

you can upgrade  to any version which is under fixed releases. but for this issue, still patched versions are pending. or change version to unaffected release.

1) Thank you.

2) Since my version is 6.2.3, and it is listed under affected releases, how is it not affected then?? Sorry for my confusion.

3)

Known Fixed Releases:
(0)

Does this mean for the current bug there are no fixed releases? Because when I follow the "Download software for  Cisco Firepower Management Center" only Software downloads are listed.
