FMC deploy error: evaluation mode or smart license not entitled

Hello everybody,

during my last deploy i've received the following error:

"strong crypto for vpn configuration is not supported. This is because fmc is running in evaluation mode or smart license account is not entitled for strong crypto".

it doens't make much sense because nothing on licences's side has changed, smart account is correctply configured, furthermore, all the vpn are running the strong crypto feature.

Following the error, someone says to check if the "export controlled features" is checked in the smart license account, but no options have been changed so i can understand how to resolve this problem that doesn't allow me to deploy any other policies.

It is probably best to raise a support case with TAC. In the mean time, you can check:

  • Your smart licensing account and confirm that you have the 'export-control' feature
  • Try re-registering your FMC with the smart licensing server

hello everybody,

 

the problem was that the fmc suddenly disconnected from the cssm so i had to generate a new token and register the fmc again.

once done the problem was fixed.
