yesterday we experienced a data center power outage on the 3rd floor that affected our Production FMC. When power was restored the unit went into “standby power mode” and required that someone physically push the button to get the FMC to boot. How do we change this to allow the FMC to boot up on power restore?
The DBcheck-pl script took approximately 3.5 hours.
We have a pair of 4500s in HA pair configuration

Personally FMC More rely on DB, Since it taking Long time, it try to correct DB which was unpected close lost records so on as usal case of Power Loss.
if this taking Long, personally
1. I turn the box Power off for some time.
2. wait for 5-10min once the device HDD settle down, start the Power ON and check the behavior.
Hope you have backup and other device working as expected, (so ii would suggest to take the backup)

I believe you can change that behavior via the CIMC (Cisco Integrated Management Controller). You will of course need to connect and configure the CIMC interface.

Hi Marvin, I don't think the FMC4500 has a CIMC. There is plenty of documentation mentioning LOM (lights out mgmt). Is this something that can only be accessed via the VGA console?

I'm not positive about the FMC 4500 model but, documentation notwithstanding, I know the FMC 1000 has CIMC. They are both built on the UCS C220 platform.
