Thank you everyone for stopping by. I want to configure a port to scan malware on a virtual FMC managing two 2110 Firepower devices and can't find out how to do that.
During a Sales team visit we received advice to buy this suite and it would do all we want it to, but after installing we're told we need separate hardware.
The suite is for our network boundary to a separate organization providing us through their WAN connection.
Question:
Can the vFMC and 2110 pair accomplish both tasks as boundary firewall and insider threat malware scanner or do we need another pair of firewalls?
During the sales meeting we were told that after we set up our traditional boundary firewall configurations we just configure other ports as inside malware scanners.
Maybe I'm not using the proper terms to scan for to get the information.
The main factor is we CAN'T connect to the internet for updates so updates are manually installed.
