FMC scheduling best practises?

I have a FMCv that was originally built with 6.2 and upgraded at various times and is now running 6.6.5 as there is an ASA5506-X FTD still being managed.

Recently I built some more sacrificial FMCv's in the lab for a customer project where we are migrating from ASA5555-Xs to FPR1140 FTDs.  I noticed that with a vanilla build of 6.6.5 two scheduled tasks are added by default - 'Weekly Software Download' and 'Weekly config only backup'.  The upgrade to 6.6.5 doesn't automatically add these and it got me wondering whether there is a best practise document anywhere that covers the scheduling of backups, download updates, install updates, push updates etc.  There are a bunch of schedule tasks available (see attached image).

If there isn't a best practise document, what are other people doing with production FMCs and scheduled tasks?

Hi,

Here are some schedules which I believe should be present.

1. Daily task for IPS recommendations
2. Daily task for policy deployment after recommendation scanning
3. Daily task for SRU update download and GEO updates
4. I used monthly task for updates to FMC and FTD
5. Weekly backup is good.

PS. There are other tasks such as NMAP scan, etc. But the above ones are
most common in my view.
