FPR 3105 - High Fan Speed

We have put new FPR 3105 devices into operation and are surprised at the operating volume of the fan modules.
Normally, the system regulates the fans down to a normal level after the boot process. However, the fan volume remains very high on these devices.
The Statistics in chassis scope show me:

Is this normal for the 3100 models?
For comparison - the fan speed of our FPR-2120 is much lower at approx. 7000 rpm per rotor.

However, it is by far the loudest device in the data center and we have a lot of them and I can't believe that this is normal.
Is there anyone who also runs the 3100 FPR model and could post the fan statistics for comparison?

The fan speeds you reported for the FPR 3105 are significantly higher than expected:

FPR 3105: ~16,860-16,920 RPM

FPR 2120 (for comparison): ~7,000 RPM

This large difference is concerning and likely contributes to the excessive noise you're experiencing.

Your description of the FPR 3105 being "by far the loudest device in the data center" suggests it's operating well above these normal levels.

Possible Causes and Solutions

Software Issue: There might be a bug in the fan control software preventing proper speed regulation after boot.

Environmental Factors: Check the ambient temperature and airflow in your data center. Ensure the devices have adequate ventilation.
