FTD 1010 (firmware 7.0.6, with FDM)
Seeking suggestions / recommendations for prerequisites before changing the Wan Port from DHCP to Static IP.
Are there specific removal, addition, or changes to certain Objects, Network, Routing, or Policies that should be performed before making the Wan Port change from DHCP to Static IP?
Any other recommended processes in making the conversion to the Wan Port from DHCP to Static IP?
Thanks in advance,
Gary

@Pkpumpkin if you just change the IP address from DHCP to static IP address of the same physical interface you do not need to change any policies, as the same interface will be part of the same security zones and therefore apply to the same policies as before.
You would need to create a static default route, for that you will need a host object that represents the IP address of the next hop router.
