Hi,
We've tried to upgrade FTD 5506 to the latest version 6.1 and everything went ok, except that we would like to use Device Manager instead of Management Center. When we tried to connect to the device over https, we noticed that we can't and when we went deeper into configuration we could not found that service is running on port 443 and we could not found how to start this service and which service it is. Any help will be appreciated.

You have to unregister it from Management Center to enable Device Manager (and the https service that it uses).

We've tried that before with unregister, to the MC, but it was looking like the service is not running on port 443. When we were looking for the service we couldn't found it. Which service is this? Tomcat? Do we have to restart it with pmtools?

Ok, I think I got it. I found which command is for enabling it local:
> configure manager local
This system was upgraded from a version that did not support the local manager. If you want to switch to local management, you must reimage the device
...but it seems that it is not possible to upgrade it from 6.0.1 to 6.1 over Management Center and then switch it to Device Manager.
Ok, we will reimage the system.

Yes. After 4 hours of re-imaging of the device, now https is running.
ROMMON version was the right one, so we had to reinstall boot image and system image.
The procedure is the same as was before, the only thing that is new, is the last question, if we would like to use Local Device Manager.
With "pmtool status" command in CLI, now we can see process "httpsd" as running.
