1) Was it working on version 8.0.4?

2) Do you have "inspect ftp" configured? and it's ftp running on default port?

3) I assume both end of the tunnel is ASA running version 8.2.2?

4) Can you share config from both end?

Hi

Thanks for your response, below are the answers to your queries do let me know if that leads to some solution

1) Was it working on version  8.0.4?

yes, it was working

2) Do you have "inspect ftp" configured? and it's ftp  running on default port?

it is enabled, i tried disabling it also it didnt helped

3) I assume both end of the tunnel is ASA  running version 8.2.2?

No one of the tunnel is PIX v 6.x and other ASA v 8.2.2, the ASA was upgraded also i have reverted it to old image for now so i can simulate issue any more.

4) Can you share config from both end?

I am sorry but i cnt share the configs, as per security constraints but if you have some suggestions or areas to look at in config that would be really greatfull.

When it fails what do the logs show?

conf t

logging en

logging buffered debug

exit

sh logg | i x.x.x.x

where x.x.x.x is the ip address this being used to test ftp.

-KS

Also when does it fail? FTP Control fails? or FTP Data fails?
