can i configure FWSM active-active failover in VSS 1440

Pradeep,

As of today, there is no IOS that will support FWSM with VSS. Having said that, you may need to wait for a IOS release that supports FWSM with VSS and then look at the configuration guidelines and limitations.

We have a case (vss+fwsm+vrf) , We are testing . Ios is a big problem, because we are using cisco inside version, It has many problems,The key to problem is that FWSM's failover link can't pass through VSL (VSS),If you have two 6509 and two FWSM in each box.

FYI.. 12.2(33)SXI for the Catalyst 6500 has been posted on CCO and this version of software does support FWSM with VSS.
