Hi All,
Please help on the following queries.
There is a FWSM, which has been there for few years and none of us have the passwords.
To recover the password,
1) Is username & password for maintenance partition always "root" and "cisco"?
2) If they can be changed, how I can recover them? Please advise.
Thanks
Regards

Hi Lauzamor,
Many Thanks!
I have seen this doc before. So for step 5, the password will always be "password"? We do not have the maintenance mode password.
Router# session slot mod_num processor 1
Step 4 To log in to the maintenance partition as root, enter the following command:
Login: root
Step 5 Enter the password at the prompt:
Password: password
By default, the password is "cisco."

You need to replace the word password for the actual one you need.
So by default will be cisco, so ahead and try that one.

Hi Lauzamor,
Someone has changed the password. So I am not able to go to Maintenance mode with password "cisco".
Thanks

Let me check your options in that case.

Hi,
If you do not have current password only option would be re-image.
