Hi,

I am setting up FTDv. I already have internet access (can ping 8.8.8.8 and tools.cisco.com). But on my FDM, it says
"Gateway cannot be reached through port GigabitEthernet0/0 named "outside".

This message appear when mgmt interface config without GW.

Remember the mgmt and data Routing table is separate' so mgmt need gw and link to any data interface or direct to internet.

There's already a GW for the management interface..

so there is GW 192.168.45.1 inside interface.
and this inside interface is correct config and dont use DHCP server.
last point is ping form this interface to 8.8.8.8 and check if you get response or not.

I tried pinging from Inside going to 8.8.8.8 and was unsuccessful.

there is default route and your NAT is correct
still are you select

use data interface as  the gateway
this option must appear in management interface page
if not directly appear check advanced tab

I also have GW on the Management interface..

Also, do i need to set the management interface to a different subnet? since it belongs to the Subnet of my inside network.

sorry you use .45.0/24 only for mgmt or it use for other Data client ?

I used .45.0/24 on both. (mgmt and data/inside)

Yes I know that this inside interface you config it as GW for your Mgmt interface,
my Q are you use .45.0/24 in other data interface or only on this data interface (GW of mgmt)?

Yes only on this data interface

then no problem check ping from this interface to 8.8.8.8
I think you need NAT to make it access Internet and message disappear.
