Help needed with designing Pix 515e dmz with existing network

Current network config:

Border router, Pix 515, core switch with RSM. Running multiple vlans on core. Trying to figure out how to replace existing pix with a 515e with dmz's but not alter existing network configuration.

Has anyone used the new vlan abilities with 6.3?

We are an education facility and want to seperate a couple of vlans off on dmz's.

It's quite similair to how trunking works on Catalyst switches, the same protocol is used. The 802.1q protocol allows trunking VLAN traffic between devices, which means that traffic to and from multiple VLANs can be transmitted over a single physical link. Each packet contains a VLAN tag that identifies the source and destination VLAN.

For basic design and configuration, the following document would be very useful.
