Hits Count on ASA5510

Hi,

Iam using ASA5510, and I would like to know if we should reset the number of Hits for ACL ?

Actually this number increase in front of each ACL. Is there any specific configuration ?

Hi,

You can reset the Access-list counters with the following commands:

clear access-list counters

Another easier way woudl be to, go to ASDM -----> right click on the access-rule and select clear hit count.

And If we let this number increase without resetting,does it cause some problems in time ?

No, it causes no problems.You can clear them whenever you want.
