I have a Pix 515r with an inside and outside interface. I have an exchange 2000 server inside, i can do outlook web access, However i can not set up outlook express on a computer on the outside network to access the mail server. Ports 25 and 110 are open, do i need to open any other ports.

Provided you are doing POP3 (110) and SMTP (25) you should not need to open up any other ports. I gather you have 80 and proberly 443 open already if you can use web mail. One easy test to make sure you PIX is not at fault is to telnet to the global ip address of your mail server from the outside on port 25 and see if you get a response and also on port 110 and see if you get a response. To do this telnet here is the syntax below.
telnet
If you get a response then there is an issue with your client.

Enter "no fixup protocol smtp 25" to diable the MailGuard feature. MS Exchange uses esmtp which uses ports not defined in RFC 821.
