Hi I'm new to the community,
I would like to know if there any examples how to use the API for CSM to ad firewall rules to contexts managed by CSM.
We manage a lot of virtual firewalls (context) using CSM.
We are now looking to automate some of the of the step of creating new firewall rules on our policies.
Our customers are using an excel form to fill in the request.
This form contains the following information:
source ip, destination ip, hostname or network name and tcp or udp and port number. And a small description why they need it.
We would like to automate the addition of new objects and firewall rules using the API and CSM.
I would be surprised the we are the first one doing this, so I would really appreciated if you could share some example of your API code and maybe the request form your are using to automate.
For now we are thinking only to automate the addition of rules and objects to a non-used policy in CSM and manual copy/move them to the correct context and section.
All information would be appreciated.
