Linked 5520 are getting HSRP messsages from their connected routers. I understand the messages are always there, but why are they showing up in the log and how can I either stop logging them or just ignore them?

Unless your security policy requires to log at the debug level, you could turn your logging level down to remove these types of messages.

Hope that helps.
