I want to have multiple IP address on my Pix 515 Internal Ethernet port

Hi to all

well i am migrating from a watchguard firewall to a Cisco 515 UR. I have multiple networks in my netowrk (6 class fake C). And every class has its own gateway, and the watchguard worked on the routing between these lans since I don't have a layer 3 device yet.

The case is that i need to know what to do in this issue, since the time frame to operate the pix is minimal. All my servers (web, dns, and mail) are now on the inside network. i will migrate them at a later stage of operation.

if anybody can help i would appreciate it a lot.

thanks in advance.

I am afraid that you need a layer 3 device to perform the routing in your network. The Cisco PIX cannot be configured with multiple IP addresses on an interface.

He is correct, you can only have 1 IP address on the interface. Even if you could have multiple addresses, the PIX is not a router. You can not use the PIX as a router.
