IEV 5 and IPS 6.0

Does IEV v5 support IPS 6.0? If not, will there be a new version of IEV?

IEV 5 and IPS 6.0 should operate together. It is not anticipated that a new version will be required.

Has Cisco "tested" IEV 5.2(1)with IPS v6 ?

I need something better than "they should operate together".

I'm sure there are other IEV users who need to know a more definitive answer as well.

For the folks not using CiscoWorks or MARS, IEV is the only Cisco tool we have for reviewing event data on the IPS.

Yes, Cisco has tested IEV 5 against with IPS 6. From Readme.txt file:

IEV 5.1(1) introduced the following new features and major changes:

-- Added support for 5.0, 5.1 and 6.0 sensors, (4.x & 3.x are not

supported).

-- Added display features in GUI tables for new IPS 5.X and 6.0 fields.

IEV is being supported, so the TAC can open bug reports against it if any issues are found. We will also monitor this forum for issues as well.
