We would like to increase the default 250GB disk that comes with the virtual FMC to 500GB in order to store more connection logs on it. We came along this post that talks about just increasing the disk space:
https://community.cisco.com/t5/network-security/fmc-storage-space-issue/m-p/4043289#M1067595
We shut down the FMC, increased the disk space testwise to 270GB and booted the FMC again but the space increase is not visible in the GUI:
Do we have to increase the partition manually somehow? I couldnt find an article that explains this process.
I have not tried, but its like same procedure we do in Linux i guess here. the increased space on VM, Linux space do not know, so you need to do command level.
similar like this. But make sure you understand the command before you doing it, if you are not familiar contact TAC.
make sure you change the paths accordingly - this blog reference only. ( as i mentioned i have not tested in FMC)
