I go a 30 day trial code for the cisco ios content filtering for use with Cisco 861w. However, I am not able to configure the content filtering with either Cisco Configuration Professional (CCP) or CLI. I have downloaded the latest IOS image but that still did not help.
via the CCP, under the Advanced Security, web filter configuration is greyed out and cannot be clicked on. FYI - I was not using zone based firewall, but the CCP did not "warn" me about that like it is supposed to do (see step 5 on http://www.cisco.ws/en/US/prod/collateral/iosswrel/ps6537/ps6586/ps6643/white_paper_c11_519293.html)
I later changed to zoned based firewall, but web filter configuration is still greyed out.
via the CLI, some commands are not available, for example the parameter-map type trend-global global-param-map as described in step 3 on http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/iosswrel/ps6537/ps6586/ps6643/white_paper_c89-492776.html.
If i type parameter-map type ?, trend-global is not a option after the type command
this is a Cisco 861W currently running c860-universalk9-mz.150-1.M2.bin, it was not working on the older IOS neither.
anyone know if 861w supports ios content filtering? i had no problem obtaining the 30 day trial code after i provided my router's product # (FRU) and the serial #.

Cisco IOS Content Filtering is supported on theAdvanced IP Services image in the Cisco 800 series and Advanced Security image and higher on Cisco 1800, 2800, and 3800 series platforms. Make sure you are running Advanced IP Services image that is 12.4.20T or later.
Also make sure you register the router with Trend as explained here http://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-8028#Certificates_and_Enrollment_
A sample config on iw works is here http://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-8028
I hope it helps.

Thanks, yes I did register a trial code with Trend. but I had 12.4.24T2 on the router before, and that did not seem to "enable" the IOS Content Filteri
ng feature.
i did another test, on a cisco 1941w. this time i did not register anything with Trend, i just wanted to see if Content Filtering command (parameter-map type trend-global global-param-map) is available. They were available on the 1941w. I also went into CCP to check if the web filter configuration is availabe for the 1941w, and it was. 1941w is running c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M2.bin
i looked online and found that Cisco IOS Content Filtering is only supported on 881 and 888.
Cisco 800 Series Integrated Services Routers come standard with:
