I have a pix 515e with Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.3(3) Cisco PIX Device Manager Version 3.0(1)

I have a ip local pool setup for vpn users lets say on the 10.0.0.0 network...my question is how can i assign the netmask to this local pool....i dont see a the command for netmask and i dont see where the pix actually uses ip classless.

Thanks

You can't assign a netmask to this. The VPN client will automatically assign a classful mask depending on what class the IP address is in. For example, it will assign 255.0.0.0 for a 10.0.0.0 address, 255.255.0.0 for a class B address and so on. This is the same functionality whether you connect to a PIX, a router or a VPN3000.
