this first time for me to get a chance to implement  CISCO IPS 4200 kindly find the attachment and. i want configure the IPS and i need to know the pest practice to do it

I didn't get clearly what you want to protect is? Is it your server farm block? Or you talked about the whole of your network?

There may be many variants of deploying the IPS appliance. It depends on security policy of the company and goals of deploying the IPS.

first of all I am very grateful for your interest and your response to my case. Actuality i want install the it to monitor network traffic if i am a right i will install it in inline mode.
in the end give me your advice with best practice depending on the diagram.
