IPS 4260 & CSM

I have 4260 IPS. I have heard that 5.x is not supported IEV. Only IDS with 4.x support IEV. Now 5.x require CSM for event viewing. I got the 2 CSM CDs in the 4260 box. I also have cisco works cds.

Can u please guide me will these are enough to install the CSM on Cisco Works.

Just so you are aware there is an IEV 5.2.

IEV 5.2 can receive events from 5.x sensors as well as 6.x sensors.

Though with 6.x sensors some of the fields in 6.x will not be seen in IEV 5.2.

So you would only need CSM if you were wanting centralized configuration instead of per sensor configuration with IDM.
