IPS on 1711

My customer has a 1711 router and he'd like to enable IPS on it. It's going to be upgraded to 12.4(4)T, which contains over 1000 signatures.

However, I checked in the 1711 datasheet and it says 1711 can only monitor 100 IDS signatures.

What I would like to know is that after upgrading to 12.4(4)T, can the 100 signatures limit be overcome?

I think 100 IDS signatures which can be monitored is the limit which it can support with any IOS code.

And i dont think the H/W restrictions cant be upgraded with higher version of IOS code especially in this case,but probably a Cisco CSE here in the forums can help you by confirming this..
