IPS on a Cisco 877w

Hello,

I have just bought a cisco 877W. For some reason SDM says that the IOS is not supporting QoS and IPS. I have upgrade the IOS to the latest 12.4 (advsecurity), but still no supoort for Qos and IPS. According the information from Cisco it should work.

Who can help me ?

Hi,

You need to upgrade your image to "advanced ip services". "advanced seecurity" image in c877W doesn't support IPS. Also SDM uses NBAR to configure QOS which is also supported only in "adv ip services" image.

Well no reaction yet.Who can help me ?

I tried the feature pack advanced ip services and voila, i have ips and Qos. But that's is strange, because it says it needs 28Mb of Flash (i have only 24 MB flash). Although it runs it gives me an spurios error. Also with the command 'show alignment' i can see 1 entry.

So it seems advanced ip services is not for mee.

But why is the cisco advanced security not able to run IPS or QoS!!!!

When i bought it it clearly says: with IPS and QoS !!!
