Is CSM 4.0.1 and ACS5.x integration possible?

Hello folks,

It has been quite a challenge to find any relevant and good information shedding the light on how to integrate Cisco Security Manager 4.0.1 and ACS 5.x to authenticate and authorize CSM users. The available guide implies that all the integration is done on ACS 4.x. and CSM 4.0.1 release notes say that
"Cisco Secure ACS 5.0 is not supported by Security Manager 4.0.1, even though ACS 5.0 is supported by Common Services 3.3."

And the supported components and applications table in this release notes mentions only ACS for Windows versions 4.1(3) and 4.2(0) are supported.
Should I understand that I can't use ACS 5.2 ?

Is there a guide describing how to do it with ACS 5.x. As far as I understand there are no more groups in ACS 5.x any more and this is a real stopper for integration like this. And will I need CiscoWorks server to configure it as AAA client in ACS to use TACACS+ ?

Hi,

ACS 5.x is not supported on 4.0.1 plus there are some major changes in 5.x that will probably have the integration to fail

I heard that ACS5.x is in the roadmap, however I do not have much details. You might want to reach your account team to know more details
