I have a PIX in routed mode. I have another one exactly the same plus the serial failover cable.
The problem is that in order to use Active/Standby configuration I need to use 2 IP per interface (Active and standby).
Unfortunately my networks use real IPs with /30 mask so I don't have any free IPs to use for the standby IP.
I searched and couldn't find anything.
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know of any way to implement PIX failover without using a 2nd IP?
