Issues with Exchange 2003 Site to Site connection using SMTP

Hi All,

Just a quick query, I seem to be having some problems with all my SMTP site to site messages with Exchange 2003. The messages all seem to sit in the queue.

I am concerend that the two PIX's (506e, running 6.3(1)) at either end are interfering with the SMTP messages.

I admit that I am not all that familiar with PIX's, and have noticed that when telnet'ing to port 25 of the opposing server (at the other end of a Site to Siet VPN) the port seems to "filtered" I get what seems like a Proxy/Filtering connection.

I would like to stop this, (if it is indeed the case) so that the two servers communicate directly rather than using this.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Tony

no fixup protocol smtp 25

should get you going. Exchange uses EMSTP, which the SMTP fixup on the PIX disallows.
