Legacy IPS to SFR

Hi Folks,

I have an ASA 5545-IPS and am planning to move to the Firepower but before that I need to familiarize with that and i want to load the firepower software into my ASA 5525-X. So if anyone can share the firepower software and firesight for testing purpose via FTP server i will much appreciate.

I'm running multiple context in my IPS, how can I export all my current configuration to the SFR?

hi,

if you're testing a standalone ASA 5525-x with FirePOWER module, you can manage it via ASDM. refer to useful link:

you'll need to upgrade the ASA 5525-X to 9.5.2 and FirePOWER module to 6.2 image if you want to test the latest features and manage with FMC. refer to the compatibility matrix on Table 2 ASA 5500 Series with ASA FirePOWER Versions 6.x from this link:

lastly the legacy cisco IPS reached it's EoL/EoS and FirePOWER NGIPS is the replacement platform. meaning, we're talking different devices here.
