Hi,
you will get 30 days grace period from the expired date to renew your lic, after that it will not work.
thats why you are seeing last update as august
Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Suresh.

If you performed a software upgrade to the Sensor's OS you will automatically upgrade your signatures. That is most likely want happened in August. You are not getting automatic signature updates. The last one I saw was mid September 2011.

No Bob,
Here the scenario is, even after the license got expired, the automatic signature is happening, hence we are in a confusion stage that if the license is really expired ??? or how come the latest signatures are getting updated ??? which is a contradictory....

Hi BOB,
Could you please revert...

The latest signature release (as of this writing) is S600, released October 5, 2011.
You need to be running E4 release of software to have these installed.
See if you have S600 on your sensor (show ver), if you don't then you do not have automatic signature updates working without a valid license.(as expected)

Hi Bob,
my problem is--- automatic signature update is properly happening, inspite of the fact that license is expired...
I wonder how is this possible,,,pls revert.

Do you have S600 on your sensor?
You can turn off auto updates if this is really bothering you.
Maybe a sensor reload will fix your problem.
