Licensing the ASA5515 FirePOWER Module.

Purchase of an ASA FirePOWER module automatically includes Control and Protection licenses.But,,,,,

We replaced a ASA 5515 due to hardware failure via Cisco RMA,The shipped ASA wont having Control and protection license,No document were found in ASA BOX regarding license.

We are looking forward for to add TAMC License to firepower.But without adding  protection and control license it is not possible.how can i sort out this?????

Kindly suggest expert opinions??????

Hello ,

If you already had the licenses and if you have just RMA'ed the box , please contact the Licensing and request them to regenerate the license.

If the ASA devices (5506-x, ASA 5508-x, 5516-x) are managed by ASDM, we need the License Key from the device. 

Steps : 

• Open the ASDM
• Go to the Configuration option along the top of the window
• Go to ASA FirePOWER Configuration from the tabs on the bottom left pane
• Select License from the middle left pane

• Click Add New License to obtain the License Key

Provide this license key to the Licensing team and request to regenerate the License.
