In order to validate our installation process, we try to install LMS 2.5.1 on a virtual server over Windows 2003.
Everything works properly except when we try to launch "validatupdate.exe" file to validate with old CD. Each time validation failed.
Does anyone know this problem and does anyone know if during the validation process, "validateupdate.exe" file try to read an unknown sequence on the old CD.
Thanks,
Yab

What type and version of old cd are you trying to validate? Also, when you say virtual server are you talking about vmware?

I'm talking about Microsoft Virtual Server 2003 R2.
I speak about old version of "Ressource Manager Essentials Version 3.5" in order to validate installation of "Ressource Manager Essentials Version 4.0.3 Inc Dec05 Updates"

Lets try these steps to make sure everything is clean and try the validate again:
-- Open the Command Line Interface (CLI) and issue the command:
c:\progra~1\CSCOpx\bin
pdterm LicenseServer
-- Go to *CSCOpx\etc\licenses* and delete all *.lic files.
*Note:* LMS***.lic file should not be copied to this directory directly. If it is there, move it to some other directory.
-- Issue the *pdexec LicenseServer* command.
-- Update the LMS**.lic file from the User Interface (UI). Go to Server > Admin > Licensing
-- If you have an upgrade license, validate the upgrade, as shown:
C:\Program Files\CSCOpx\bin\validateupgrade.exe

Working now.
Many Thanks.
