Hi friends

In routers, we can configure local policy based routing to affect purely locally generated traffic by the router.

Does cisco ASA have this feature too?

Thanks in advance for your reply

Hi @JohnJudi yes the ASA supports PBR, here is an example:

Thanks @Rob Ingram !

I know The ASA supports PBR, my question is that "does the ASA support Local PBR or not?"

like this example for router:

https://www.grandmetric.com/knowledge-base/design_and_configure/how-to-configure-policy-based-routing-for-localy-generated-traffic-cisco/

Thanks in advance for your reply

@JohnJudi ok, I think not. The cisco ASA guides do not explictly state it is supported.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa914/configuration/general/asa-914-general-config/route-policy-based.html

The guide does state "Policy Based Routing is an ingress-only feature; that is, it is applied only to the first packet of a new incoming connection" - so therefore it would apply to traffic routed through the ASA, not sourced from the ASA itself.

Yes local policy routing is support by Router
but ASA what is traffic you want to use local policy routing ? is it connect of ASA with AAA?
