Logging IP access on a PIX 515E with 6.2(2)

Sorry, I did not find this in a search. I need to figure out how to log what IPs access specific host only. I have a PIX 515E running 6.2(2) and no other devices to use for this - no router, etc., nor do we run any auth servers. I've used the 'log' parameter on router ACLs many times but don't see that in this version of PIX. Thanks in advance.

Hi Brian,

The logging facility for PIX ACLs was not introduced until release 6.3. THe following link has some info on it:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_sw/v_63/63rnotes/pixrn63.htm#wp68356

I'm afraid you'll have to upgrade to get this functionality.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

PIX ACL's support 'log' action as well; you need to tune it accoring to your requiremnet (add to permit statements)

I don't see that option in version 6.2(2) at least it won't let me use it in the access-list line? What am I missing.

Thank you.
