a service on mars called csips (which goes and fetches the sensor events) keeps stopping and starting. When it stops we obviously get no events on mars and instead get 'inactive reporting device'. When I run pnstop and pnstart the service comes alive again but only for a short while before it dies again. Whenever it restarts on its own, it never picks up any alerts from the IDSM-2 or SSM sensors. Ive checked the logs and it appears MARS subsequently has login problems to the sensors eventhough it works first time I start the csips service. Most grateful for any assistance.
sounds like you really need to open a TAC case on that. The same process frequently restarts on our MARS as well, but usually reconnects (we have had it stop collecting events too though, but it is infrequent).
