Max number of static NAT translations on a PIX 501?

Does anybody have any ideas as to how many static NAT entries a PIX 501 can realistically handle? I have seen nothing on Cisco's Web site that indicates there is a maximum, but there is a maximum config file size of 256k.

I have a situation where I would need approximately 200 entries but at very low utilization (<100 kbps). My belief is that the 501 can handle this but I wanted to find out if anybody has done anything of this size. Thanks!

The number of static NAT entries in the config is more a function of how big the config on a 501 can be. As you mentioned, the max config size for a 501 is 256K. 200 static entries should fit fine in the config assuming you don't have a ton of access-lists associated with the statics in addition to other items. Give it a shot and issue a 'sh flashfs' (search the archives of this list for a definition of what each partition is) to see how much space you are taking up.
