Afternoon all, i was wondering if i could get some help, i have an ASA 5505, that keeps crashing every 4 to 5 days. Everytime is happens its due to a depleted memory block.
The error is: System is low on memory block 2048 (0 CNT of 1200 MAX).
Can anyone point me in the right direction on what could be causing this.
Im running ASA 9.0.1(1)
Any help would be really appricated.

Hello deanrobinson1980,
When the firewall fails most likely generates a file that is used to determine the reason for that. You can check it with the command show crash.
If that file has been generated you can open a case with TAC to have it decoded.
Now as far as the root cause for the issue it could be a block depletion caused by legitimate usage for specific features that use the same block or a bug that affects the way the memory is assigned to that block.
Can you confirm as well the amount of memory installed on your device as the 5505 requires 512 of ram memory to run code 8.3>

Jose Orozco.
