Hi,
Can anyone guide me how to configure PIX and ASA so that I can create some graphs on MRTG for example interface utilization , cpu and memory utilization and established sessions. I have a PIX 515E and an ASA 5510 for which I need this. I am able to configure a 3560G switch for interface bandwidth utilization but not for the PIX and ASA.
If anyone has experience with MRTG ... Please help
Thanks
Zeeshan

Zeeshan, personally have not used mrtg, start on these pages by looking into snmp and MIBs supported for both PIX and ASA.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_tech_note09186a0080094a13.shtml

As for collecting bandwidth utilization you can simply monitor interfaces the PIX and ASA connect into, if they connect to any of your switches monitor that switch port through mrtg. If you want detail traffic look into netflow feature introduced in code version 8.2

Hi,
You need to enable the SNMP on the ASA/PIX as below
snmp-server community community-name
snmp-server host outside/inside x.x.x.x community community-name [ASA]
snmp-server host x.x.x.x community community-name [PIX]
I hope this helps..
