Is there a way to add more than one IP on an interface for an ASA 5510 running V8.0(3) software?

No you can not do that on ASA/Pix devices,

to my knowledge

If you want to add "secondary" IP addresses

on a security device, go buy a Nokia appliance

running IPSO and it will let you add

secondary ip addresses just like Cisco IOS

routers.

Hi,

shall I know your purpose to add more IP addresses to single interface.

regards

skrao

The ASA was using another public IP in my netblock for testing purposes. I had a working Site to Site VPN connection and just wanted to add my current production IP to the interface, instead of trying to rebuild that VPN tunnel. I had to have a Cisco support person help me in config since the wizard didn't work at all.

Hi Robert

You can achieve what you want with the help of a Layer3 switch. If you have one, you can create subinterfaces on ASA, set trunk port on switch, create VLANs and tag them.

Regards

But that would require me to have IP addresses on seperate subnets. These public IPs are on the same subnet.

Plus I dont have an L3 switch...wish I did though!

Thanks for the replies guys. If anyone has any more suggestions, I am open.
