Hi,

plese note that to add a device (switch) to the CAm, you need to go to OOB Management -> Devices -> New.

You first need to configure the SNMP settings on the switch and CAM so that the CAM and switch can communicate.

I would advise you to make sure you read carefully the configuration guide for OOB ans switch management:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/nac/appliance/configuration_guide/48/cam/m_oob.html.

HTH,

Tiago

1. i confused is it authentication vlan same with untrusted(managed) vlan ?

2. Why i can't select or configure antivirus /antispyware inside cam?

Hi,

1. i confused is it authentication vlan same with untrusted(managed) vlan ?

[ANS] Correct. The authentication VLAN is the untrusted VLAN.

2. Why i can't select or configure antivirus /antispyware inside cam?

[ANS] Can you please clarify what you mean?

The NAC goal is to create requirements (this is done on the CAM) so that when users connect their PCs to the network they need to authenticate and the machines need to comply with the security requirements configured.

So the requirements (AV/AS updates, etc.) are configured on the CAM:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/nac/appliance/configuration_guide/48/cam/m_agntd.html.
