Hi Guys,
I'm configuring a NAC profiler that came with 2.1 installed. I upgraded to 3.1, requested and installed the license with no problems, but I'm still receiving this message :"ERROR:[2010-12-08 09:25:01 (main:668)] No valid keys could be found [No such file or directory]"
The license file exists, and on NAC Profiler Web interface the license status is OK.
One line in the license file gives me this information :"INCREMENT CCA-MANAGER cisco 2.1 permanent uncounted "
Anyone know if the license is tied with Profiler version ?
The upgrade from 2.1 to 3.1 is allowed or there is a need to buy a new 3.1 license ?

Hi,
So I guess that you spotted the problem here...
Do you have a collector license?
You need 2 licenses: 1 for the Profiler Server and one for the Collector.
Basically the mac address that you need to provide is the same (eth0 ot the Profiler Server), but you need a PAK for Profiler Server to generate the Profiler Server license (the one you already have) and a PAK for Collector license (Which is missing).
Do you have the collector PAK?
If yes, then just go to the licensing page and submit that PAK along with the mac address.
HTH,
Tiago

Hi,
No the license is not tied to the version, however the mac address format on the licenses is different depending on the version...
So not sure if you are facing this problem.
Prior to 3.1, the mac address provided in the license file needed to be in upper case, however in 3.1, it has to be in lowercase.
Can you send me the screenshot where you are seeing that error message?
Also, can you please send the screenshot of the licence upload page of the Profiler GUI?

Tiago

Hit Tiago,
Thanks for your response.
I was using a license requested with mac address uppercase letters, but I requested a new license with lowercase letters, but the problem is still happening.
So I requested a demo license, and the error was gone and then I found the information below on Install and Config Guide:
"Note that the Server will not start until there is a Profiler Server license and at least one Collector license with the correct MAC address uploaded to the system."
Below is the web interface after uploading the license. The information is the same using mac lowercase or uppercase.
Licenses Type Expire Date MAC Server permanent Total Collector License(s): 0 [FlexLM licenses verified]
And The error message appears on file /usr/beacon/logging/Server.out
ERROR:[2010-12-08 16:07:08 (main:668)] No valid keys could be found [No such file or directory]

Hi Tiago,
I found the Collector PAK that was lost here, and requested the license.
Now everthing is OK.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Best Regards.
