NAT public ip in the Cisco 3005

Hi

We are using Cisco 3005, ver 4.17, setup vpn lan to lan to checkpoint NG box in the vendor company.

By the vendor, have to NAT private ip to the public ip for local network ip in lan to lan setup. We setup NAT rule with static NAT, enter source ip , translation ip, remote ip, then change Lan to lan local network ip to the tranlation ip. But in the testing, no any traffic show in the 3005 log and no tunnel show up. We already have other lan to lan running (No NAT) to other site and they are fine. I have two question:

1) How to select NAT translation ip address for the public ip, is any one should be ok?

2) How to debug NAT in the 3005?

Thanks

ben
