Hi guys,
I have an NM-CIDS module. I don't known the password, I want to reinstall.
I boot the helper file: "boot helper NM-CIDS-K9-helper-1.0-1.bin"
I try to use recovery image:
Download recovery image via tftp and write to HDD
server IP address [192.168.4.75]:
full pathname of recovery image []: IPS-K9-r-1.1-a-6.0-6-E3.pkg
Ready to begin
Are you sure? [y/N] y
Getting IPS-K9-r-1.1-a-6.0-6-E3.pkg from 192.168.4.75 via tftp.
tftp> tftp> Received 24486056 bytes in 20.7 seconds
tftp>
IPS-K9-r-1.1-a-6.0-6-E3.pkg size: 24486056
File transfer successful.
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: 168 garbage bytes ignored at end of archive
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
The operation failed with error 2.
What is the problem?
Thanks,
Norbert

Hello,
I found the problem:
The cids contains 4.x software, and when upgrades it needs to upgrade the bootloader, because the newer images needs new bootloader.
The bootloader can not be download. So, I'm loose.
Thanks
