NMSB Failure - admin down now

Hi guys,

today one of our Sourcefire sensors (3D8130) is giving us a hard time.  The error in Defense Center is Module Inline Link Mismatch. That led me to believe that probably the auto-negotiation is not working anymore. When i went in to disable the propagate link state ( to see on which side the error is happening) , i encounter the following error :

"Remote Task Failure : Detection reconfiguration failed: Could not connect to NMSB device: no handles available Error reconfiguring Netronome hardware! Change reconciliation failed! Failed to apply detection configuration: Invalid Argument"

If i check the logs, i found interesting the following logs

"FailD:HAState [WARN] NMSB Failure - admin down now
SF-IMS[22369]: [22369] bb-health:bb-health [ERROR] Error initializing interface list! (1) "

if i try to setup a capture from CLI, it doesn't work. Same thing if i do a show traffic traffic statistics..It just get's me back to the prompt

> show traffic-statistics

It fails even when i try to do an Intrusion Policy update.

I tried to do some research over the internet for this issue, but i was not able to find anything that could help.

Any help from your side is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Try the below command on your sensor cli to check if there is any hardware issue :

$sudo su

$nfm-burnin.sh

Also, are the ports showing green lights or showing amber ?

Thanks,

Ankita
